~The following day, Saturday afternoon, 14th January, Sydney
Hailey, Eric and Nichole were in hospital. There were three armed police officers outside their room.
“Hi” Fatima said to Hailey, as she walked into the room.
“Hi” Hailey said weakly
“Emma said that you would be out, in a few days.” Fatima said
“I am so sick and tire of been a victim.” Hailey said there was a bit of tears in her eyes.
“Have they captured Rita Zhan yet?” Eric asked
“She is nowhere to be found. The police are not able to find any evidence that support the possibility that she was even there and then there was a tape recording, where Bill and Gary confessed, they and Sam were the ones and only ones, who illustrated the entire thing and carried it out. The tape even contains a motive. The only thing that supports the possibility that Rita was there, was you, Hailey and Nichole’s statement.” Fatima said
“I am not going to stand as witness, no way.” Nichole said fearfully. “You don’t know her. You don’t know what that Rita Zhan is like. What she is capable of doing and how powerful she is. No way, no way in hell.”
“If you don’t stand as witness, then she is going to kill you for certain, the only thing that can protect you from Rita Zhan is, if you stand as witness, against her in court.” Fatima said
“Get Sam Brown to do it.” Eric said
“Sam is dead.” Fatima replied
“She killed him, didn’t he? Rita Zhan killed Sam.” Nichole said
“Rita Zhan did not kill Sam, she persuaded him to committed suicide. Believing that would save your life, Sam killed himself.” Fatima said
“And what if the court found Rita not guilty? This is Rita Zhan we are talking about here. She knows how to work the jury.” Eric said “What would happen to us, if she wins?”
"That is a ratio game. What do you think is, your best chance for survival? Do you think you are more likely to be safer, with her in prison or if she manage to get away for what she did. Assuming, if Rita would be found not guilty, by the court, do you believe you would be safer, if you took a chance against her, or if you don’t? Think about it.” Fatima said
“We will think about it.” Hailey said
“Are you crazy, are you really planning to go up against Rita Zhan? This is Rita Zhan we are talking about here.” Eric said
“We told the police that, we are not going to be testifying against Rita Zhan. Plus, the police got no evidence on her. You don’t mess around with Rita Zhan, you don’t. Trust me, Rita Zhan brainwashed our father to become her puppet, we put our dad back into his right head and for that, my father and my two brothers are now dead. You don’t mess around with Rita Zhan.” Nichole said
“I’ll let you guys think about it.” Fatima said and then she walked out of the room.
Susan, Edward and Tom were waiting for Fatima outside the room.
“What did they say?” Susan asked
“They are not talking, they are terrified of Rita.” Fatima said “Do you have anything on her?”
Susan sighed “With Sam dead, their statement is all we got and the fact there is a video, where Bill and Gary claiming full responsibility…I don’t know. But I am not going to stop investigating, into Rita Zhan. My instinct tells me, she must be involved. I want to hook Rita Zhan, onto a lie detector test. The result should give us enough evidence, if what Sam said is true.” Susan said
“I understand what they are going through. Fear can be a powerful weapon, to keep a person under control.” Fatima said
“I know” Susan replied
“Rita Zhan is most likely to use Western conservative ideology to her advantage, to manipulate the jury, if she goes to court. In my opinion, if you can avoid having western conservative extremist in the jury, Rita Zhan would at lease, loose her edge on that arena. Plus, the fact she is an Asian woman, might make it easier for her to use western conservative ideology to her advantage. After all, it is our western conservative ideology that believes that for the west to be the parent, adult and masculine male and none west to be a weak female and child and that a real woman must be a good and trust worthy subject and those who aren’t real woman must be evil and believe that a real woman must be a weak, helpless and innocent victim and those who work in contrast to the stereotype are not real woman. And the fact is that Rita Zhan is a woman and she is not exactly white, either, make it easy for her to gain the trust of western conservative extremist, by playing into the stereotype. In my opinion, if we can avoid having white people on the jury, we decrease the possibility of having Western conservative extremist on the jury and if we have no western conservative extremist on the jury, Rita Zhan looses that edge.” Tom said
“Are there still people, who are still such stubborn conservatives these days?” Susan frowned and said
“Probably not amount generation Y, but older generation, I say it could be possible. You have no idea, how many times I heard, middle age white guys, assuming a culture must have westernize, because they are not sexist towards woman, despite the fact, they have no prove saying it is a western influence, despite the fact, there are conservative ideologies, such as native Hawaii’s, that are never sexist towards woman and despite the fact, the west was once sexist too. Or how much time I heard a middle age white guy say, a country must have westernize, because they believe in equality, despite the fact, that it is our western conservative ideology, that believe in stupid ideologies such as King is god’s given right and divine right of the King. You know, in some none western conservative cultures, ideology such as ‘King is god’s given right’, is consider as a cult and in some culture, believes such as ‘divine right of the King’, is consider as a sin or treason. You also have no idea, how many time, I heard a middle age white guy, believing a culture must have westernize, because that culture believe it is alright to married somebody of different race or religion background, sometime even under a circumstances, where people of that culture, never in their entire history, ever believe there is anything wrong about marrying foreign race or people of other religion background and despite the fact that, this middle age white guy himself, admit to the fact, that his own mother disapprove him, marrying anybody that is not a Catholic, because their family is Catholic and despite the fact that there are certain western cultures, who also believe it is wrong to married people of foreign race or religion background. And the fact that, the west did made two big contribution to the modern world, via inventing democracy and via its nineteen century industry revolution, which contribute a lot to modern technological advance, just feed the flame of this western conservative believe, amount western conservative extremist. Trust me, we have more extremist then you give credit for.” Tom said
“Even if we managed to erase all western conservative extremist, from the jury, under this circumstances I think Rita Zhan would still get away. I don’t believe we have enough to convict her, even amount people, who are not western conservative extremist.” Susan said
“Too bad Bill and Gary are dead. Otherwise, we could interrogate them.” Edward said
“I think Rita Zhan must have brain washed them, into committing those suicide, somehow, to keep them silent.” Fatima said
A few minutes later, Susan’s cell phone rang. Susan answered it. “Hello, Detective Susan Stone speaking.” Susan said
Susan listen to, what the person, in the phone was saying “Yes, yes, thank you.” Susan replied to the voice inside the phone and then she hang up “We just got the evidence, to arrest Rita Zhan. Patrick Fan just Email us, all the evidence that is require to have him and Rita Zhan arrested.”
