~Four days later, Thursday Morning, 29th September, Sydney
Twenty one years old Eric Smith, was sitting at the back of the bus, with his girlfriend, Sandy.
He got an internship, within the office of a Federal MP. He was a bit nervous and talking to Sandy, definitely helped him, to ease his nerve. A little while later, a man wearing a purple business shirt, walked into the bus that man is Sam. Sam got himself a new job, working as a Toyota car salesman and started work two days ago. Sam took a seat, with a person he worked with and started chatting amount themselves
Eric and Sandy did not pay any attention to Sam. They continued to play around themselves.
“Come on, give it to me.” Sandy said, trying to grab the camera phone out of Eric’s hand.
“Let me see.” Eric said, refusing to give the phone to Sandy. It had a video of Sandy singing Karaoke, after she’s drunk and her singing voice was like a cat that was been run over, by a lawn mower.
“Hey, can the two of you be quiet, back there?” Sam turned his head around and said impatiently
“Sorry” Sandy quickly said
Sam turned his head, back towards the person he works with.
“Come on, give it to me.” Sandy said in a much smaller volume
“Nope, let me see.” Eric said
“Shh, keep it down.” Sandy quickly said to Eric “Come on, I don’t want you to see it.” Sandy said in a lower volume
“Alright, alright” Eric said, returning the camera phone to Sandy
“Thanks” Sandy replied, as she took the phone from Eric, “There delete” Sandy said, as she deleted the video from her cell phone
“Why don’t you want me to see it?” Eric asked
“I am horrible at singing.” Sandy said
A few minutes later, Sandy got to the stop, where she has to get off the bus. “See you.” Sandy said
“Bye” Eric said and kissed Sandy on the lips, before Sandy got off the bus.
After Sandy got off the bus, Eric took out a Harry Potter novel from his bag and started reading it. Eric still did not pay any attention to Sam’s conversation with his new co-worker, until he finally heard Sam said something that caught his attention. “If she loves me, I take care of her, do everything for her. If she doesn’t love me, I slap her.” Sam said, the “her” Sam is referring to, is Hailey. Sam was talking about his relationship with Hailey.
The sentence caught Eric’s ears and it got him stunt for a second, in disbelieve.
For some reason, Eric’s behaviour caught Sam’s eyes “What the fuck are you looking at?” Sam said to Eric
“Nothing” Eric replied
A minute later, Eric decided to stay away from Sam and left the seat he was sitting on and went to sit at the front of the bus and then he went back to reading his Harry Potter novel.
Twenty minutes later, Eric got off the bus and started walking towards the place he would be working at, the office of the district’s member in Parliament, Chan Wong. The district is an area, dominated by people from China, Greek and Brazil. Eric walked into the office and stopped at the reception
“Hey, my name is Eric Smith. I am the new Public Relationship Intern.” Eric quickly said
“Just wait there” the girl working at the reception said and then she went inside to call Debra, Chan’s chief of staff.
Eric stood at the reception, waiting, a few minutes later Debra and the girl working at the reception came out
“Eric, how are you doing?” Debra smiled and said, Debra was a woman, in her late forties.
“Good” Eric smiled
“Well, come inside” Debra said, as she buzzed Eric into the office, “Come on, I’ll show you around.” Debra said and then she quickly showed Eric around the office. Then, Debra took Eric to see Daniel, Chan’s Public Relationship manager. Debra is a third generation Australian, British descendent, but Daniel isn’t, he might have grown up in Australia, but he is from India. Daniel was thirty six years old.
“Hey Eric, how are you doing son.” Daniel smiled and said
“Good” Eric said
“So, Debra showed you around already?” Daniel asked
“Yes.” Eric replied
“Well, let’s get to work. Oh yes, by the way. Debra, I got those documents you wanted. I put it on your desk. Did you saw it?” Daniel said
“Yes, I got it, thanks” Debra replied
A few minutes later, Chan walked into the office too.
“Oh, hey Chan, I want you to meet Eric, he is our new intern.” Debra said to Chan, when he walked towards them.
“Oh, hi Eric, how are you doing mate?” Chan asked
“It is an honour to meet you sir.” Eric said to Chan nervously, his mouth felt dried and his palm was sweating nervously
“Ha ha, it is an honour to meet you too. Settle in fine? Daniel is treating you alright?” Chan said
“Yes sir.” Eric said nervously
“That is good.” Chan laughed “Well, good luck then.”
“Thank you, sir.” Eric said
Chan turned his attention to Debra “So Debra, do you have those materials that is going to be use in Parliament, for tomorrow?” Chan asked
“Oh yes, it is in my office” Debra said. Chan followed Debra into her office and then Debra hanged Chan the document that he requested for.
“Well, what do you think about the new intern?” Debra asked
“Well, the kid sure got a lot of enthusiast.” Chan smiled and said
