~The following day, Sunday Night, 24th July Sydney
Chan and Emma were inside their car, they just finished attending a political charity formal for the night. Now, they were going home. Chan was in the driver seat of the car and Emma was in the passenger seat next to him, Emma was wearing a cherry red dress and a coat over it.
“Well, that was a pretty interesting night.” Chan said
“Yeah, it was pretty cool.” Emma smiled. “Well, the important thing is, I got to meet and take a photo with the Prime Minister today. You work with the guy on a 24/7 bases and I never have an opportunity to meet him before.” Emma said happily
“Well, you get to meet him now.” Chan said
“Yap” Emma, smiled and said
A few minutes later, Chan’s cell phone rang. Emma took the phone and answered it.
“Hello.” Emma talked into the phone.
“Hey, Emma?” Hailey’s voice came out of the cell phone.
“Hailey, how are you?” Emma said
Chan rolled his eyes. “Great, just what we need, Hailey again” he murmured
“Mmm…Emma, can I come and stay with you for a few days?” Hailey said, her voice was a little bit shaken.
“Sure, where are you?” Emma asked
“I am at the bus stop, at Chatswood, in front of the train station.” Hailey said, Chatswood is a suburb at Sydney.
“Look, just hang in there darling, we will be there soon.” Emma said, and then she hanged the phone up.
“What does she want now?” Chan asked
“We need to go and pick her up at Chatswood.” Emma said
“What?” Chan said “You are kidding me, right? It is almost ten at night. I don’t want to go to Chatswood, this time at night. I want to go home.” Chan said
“You are always going out at night.” Emma said
“Yeah, it is the 24-hour restaurants across the street to our apartment. Not to Chatswood.” Chan said
“Come on, it is not that bad.” Emma said
“Seriously, tell her to go check into a motel somewhere, Jesus.” Chan said.
“Come on, pretty please” Emma said
“Fine” Chan sighed and said and turned the car towards the direction of Chatswood. “I mean seriously, it is the exact same drill with that girl, whenever she got a problem with jack ass guy, she come to us, to hide for a night, then go back to him. We are not doing her any favor here. She is just using us, to avoid facing her real problems.” Chan said
“Oh, come on.” Emma said
“Yap, you are really not the jealous type.” Chan said, Emma know that Chan once wanted to ask Hailey out, when they were in University.
Eventually, the car reached Chatswood and they saw Hailey in front of the bus stop.
The sky was pouring with rain just a little while ago and the ground was still wet from the rain. Hailey was socked wet, from head to toe.
There were a few bruises on Hailey’s body. Hailey’s lips were bleeding.
Hailey got beaten up by Sam. Sam was angered by the embarrassment he gains, by Tang defeating him yesterday and it caused Sam to put his temper out onto Hailey today, when Hailey was a few minutes slow, to serve Sam and his poker buddies with beers, peanuts and chips tonight and bought the wrong favor of chips. She got a horrible beating from Sam, with Sam saying it is her fault that she is getting beat up right now, because she served the food too slow and got the wrong favor of chips.
Just like last time, Hailey fleet from the house, before Sam has the opportunity, to put her into a hospital.
Emma and Chan got off the car and walked towards Hailey.
“Jesus, what happened to you?” Emma said, looking at Hailey’s wounds.
Emma took a closer look at Hailey’s lips.
“You are going to need stitches for that. Come on, we need to get you to the hospital.” Emma said
“You want to call the cops on this?” Chan asked
“I fell down on the stairs.” Hailey lied
“Why am I not so surprise that, this would be her response?” Chan thought to himself.
“Alright, whatever, let’s get her to the Emergency room.” Chan said impatiently.
“Come on darling, let’s go.” Emma said to Hailey, helping Hailey to her feet.
“What the Fuck is going on there!” Sam’s voice come into existence from a distance, he and his three porker buddies showed up in sight, they came with Sam to find Hailey and take her home. Sam had a killer vibe in his voice. He was acting extremely aggressive and agitated
Chan stayed on guard, but he pulled Emma backwards. “Stay on guard, but do not get involve unless they bother us, stay out of this.” Chan whispered into Emma’s ears.
Sam walked towards Hailey, “Where the Fuck do you think you are going, you little slut?!” Sam said angrily, he slapped Hailey on the face, he slapped her on the face so hard that she felled to the ground.
Emma wanted to go stuck up for Hailey. Chan tried to pull Emma backwards, but she moved forward anyway.
“What the fuck is your problem, punk?” Emma yelled at Sam angrily.
Chan decided he had no choice, fear for Emma’s safety, he decided to back her up.
Chan stood behind Emma, he didn’t say a single word, but just stood there and looked firm.
Sam’s friends started to close up, towards Emma and Chan, they seem extremely aggressive.
“What do you want!?” Sam yelled
“What the fuck is your problem? Back off?” Chan responded towards their behaviors aggressively. At this stage, Chan appears to be more aggressive then Sam and his mates.
Chan took a look at Sam and his mates, if it really comes down to it, he thinks he and Emma, can each take on at least two of them in a fist fight. Chan secretly pray to the Chinese god Guan Yint, considering the fact, if Sam and his porker buddies really attack, he and Emma would have no choice but to fight back or they would probably be bash to death.
“If necessary, I’ll fight two and you fight two.” Chan said to Emma in Cantonese
“What the fuck, did you say to her?” Sam asked
“It is none of your fucked business, boy.” Chan responded
Emma is not going to wait around for Sam and his mates to throw the first punch. “Back off or I’ll hit you.” Emma warned angrily, as Sam as his mates continue to move forward.
“Shut up” Sam yelled angrily as he continued to move forward towards Emma and Chan aggressively
Emma had enough, she already warned Sam and his mates and he find Sam and his mate to be threatening and under the circumstances, she decided to act upon her gut instinct. She threw a kick right into Sam’s stomach, Sam felled to the ground.
The first of Sam’s mates immediately came to reinforce Sam.
Chan kicked the first of Sam’s mates in the stomach, leaving him flying backwards.
Sam’s second mate, tried to attack Chan, throwing a punch towards him, but Emma blocked the punch, she threw a few boxing punching onto the second mate’s stomach and knocked the wind out of him. Sam’s third friend pulled out a knife, but Chan grabbed hold of that arm that he is holding a knife with, with one hand and then pushed him backwards, Sam’s third mate felled to the ground.
Sam and his three mates got back onto their feet and stood up. Chan and Emma stood next to each other, facing Sam and his mates.
“Don’t fight.” Hailey said she quickly stood between the two groups to stop the fight.
Sam impatiently pushed Hailey aside. Hailey felled to the ground and twisted her ankle, as she felled.
“Back off or we will assuming you are been hostile and attack.” Chan warned.
Sam and his mates stood in one straight line and moved forward.
“Attack” Chan said to Emma, with that Chan and Emma attacked.
Chan took on Sam and his mate, who was on the left of Sam. Emma took on Sam’s two other mates who were at Sam’s right.
Chan kicked the knife, out of the hand of Sam’s mate, he threw a few flying kicks towards their direct to separate Sam and his mate a little bit, so to decrease their combine fire power.
Then Chan leaped forward and kick the stomach of the mate of Sam’s who originally had a knife, then his balls and then his head, knocking him down. Sam came to try reinforcing his friend, but instead, Chan grabbed hold of his neck and hold him up with one hand, leaving Sam gasping for air for a few seconds, until he threw Sam down, onto the ground.
Hailey tried to get them to stop fighting, she tried to get back onto her feet, but her ankle was far too badly injured, for her to be able to stand up and all she could do is to tell them to stop fighting, while on the ground. Everybody ignored Hailey.
Emma jumped forward and threw two kicks, the first kick landed onto the first mate of Sam’s, sending him fly backwards and onto the ground. Emma’s second kick aimed for Sam’s second mate, but this mate of Sam’s was quicker and he leaped backwards and dogged Emma’s attack.
The first mate of Sam’s got back onto his feet and want to attack Emma, but Chan pulled him backwards a punched him a few times on the stomach, causing him to fell to the ground. Emma jumped forward and kicked Sam’s second mate on the head, two times and then punched him stomach a few times, knocking him down.
Sam got back onto his feet, but he didn’t move forward to fight back, the fact that Chan was able to lift him up with only one hand, scared the life out of Sam. Sam and his mates got onto their feet and ran off.
Chan and Emma didn’t follow, they stood there and watch Sam and his friends ran away.
Chan took a look at Hailey, “Thanks a lot.” Chan said to her sarcastically and angrily.
Then he turned to Emma “And what were you thinking, getting involved like that, you could have gotten yourself killed.” Chan said to Emma
Then Chan turned back to Hailey “Hailey, seriously, stay the fuck out of our life, ok? We don’t want anything to do with you. You are trouble.” Chan said
“Don’t speak for me, I want to get involve.” Emma said angrily
“And get yourself killed? There were four of them, they were acting hostile, one of them had a knife, we were lucky to get out of that one alive and that was because there were two of us. If there is only one of us, do you think either one of us would still be standing here, right now?” Chan asked
Emma didn’t say anything.
Chan took a look at Hailey. “You cannot just keep running to us for shelter. If you are still going to run back to him, then I don’t want you to have anything to do with me or my family, Ok?” Chan said to Hailey.
Hailey looked at Chan weakly.
“Come on. Let’s get this looser to a fucked emergency room.” Chan said. Then he and Emma helped Hailey into the car and drove to the emergency room, of the hospital that Emma works in.
