~Three days later, Tuesday, 19th July Gold Coast

Simon decided not to take up Tom’s advice and went to his father, with the information that Jeffery gave him.

“I can’t believe you went behind my back and the worse of all, you did something like this to Rita. Do you know how hurt she would be, if she found out about this?” Jeff yelled angrily

They were in a library and people were turning their heads around. “Keep your volume down, would you?” an impatient teenage girl said

“Sorry” Simon quickly apologizing to the teenage girl and everybody else, that was looking at him and his father.

“Look, I know Rita alright? She is a weak, delicate and fragile flower.” Jeff said

“For Chris sack dad, can you just look at the facts?” Simon said

“Fact? What fact, this is all a load of crap.” Jeff said

“Dad, she was married and they are still seen each other.” Simon said

“So? Now we know she been in a relationship with an abusive husband, maybe her family force her into it, maybe that is why she come to Australia, to run away from it. She needs to be protected, we need to protect her. She is a fragile flower.” Jeff said

“Hello, look at these photos dad, do these looks like she is running away from him?” Simon said, there was photos of Rita and her ex-husband, in bed together.

“God knows what he might do to her, if she didn’t sleep with him. She got no choice, look whatever Rita did, she did it for a reason, what he is doing to her is practically rape. He is an abusive man, who has probably been stalking her for years, if she didn’t sleep with him, he probably gets violent. Look, I know Rita. I know what she is like, Ok?” Jeff said

“And what if you are wrong?” Simon asked

“I know her.” Jeff said

Jeff took the photos of Rita having sex with her ex-husband and threw it into the bin, he doesn’t want to see any contradicting evidence, to what he believes in

“What about these phone records with her family in China?” Simon asked

“Fake” Jeff said he threw it into the bin, without even looking at it, fear that, he would once again, be seeing contradicting evidence. If Jeff threw it away, he would never have to see this contradicting evidence and he would never need to acknowledge its existence.

“What if it’s real?” Simon asked

“Ever occur to you, that her family is the one, forcing her into this relationship, with her abusive ex-husband? She is trying to escape from it, she needs to escape from it, her life is in danger and we need to protect her from her family.” Jeff said

“Jesus Chris dad, are you even listening to yourself?” Simon said

“Look I don’t want to listen to any of these none sense anymore, end of story.” Jeff said, he stood up from the chair and left the library.
